Frances Mohler Dance Company offers musical theater productions for two age groups (5-12 and 11-18). Our productions have included Chicago, Cats, Alice In Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, Beetlejuice, and Descendants among others. Up next for our age 5-12 group is Moana Jr. and for ages 11-18 we are producing Grease School Version!

Musical rehearsals are Friday eveings. Tuition is $99 a month. Our shows this season will be held at Penn State Harrisburg, Mukund S. Kulkarni Theatre on September 27th & 28th.

Disney’s Moana JR. is a 60-minute musical adaptation of the 2016 Disney animated film, bringing the adventures of Moana and her village of Motunui to life onstage. Moana JR. features all the beloved songs from the film, written by Tony®, GRAMMY, Emmy, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina, including “How Far I’ll Go,” “Shiny,” and “You’re Welcome.”

This thrilling and heartwarming coming-of-age story follows the strong-willed Moana as she sets sail across the Pacific to save her village and discover the truth about her heritage. Moana and the legendary demigod Maui embark on an epic journey of self-discovery and camaraderie as both learn to harness the power that lies within. With empowering messages of bravery and selflessness, Moana JR. is sure to bring out the hero within each of us.

Grease: School Version retains the fun-loving spirit and immortal songs of the blockbuster show, but removes any profanity, lewd behavior, and Rizzo’s pregnancy scare. The song “There Are Worse Things I Could Do” is also deleted from this edition. Grease: School Version is a full length show that runs about 2 hours long.

We have secured the grand rights to use movies songs including "Hopelessly Devoted to You", "Sandy" and "You're the One That I Want" for our production.
